Yes! I'm a traveling luxury bridal makeup artist located in Annapolis, MD, but will travel anywhere for services. Depending on the exact location of your venue, travel fees may apply. Travel rates start at $45/hour for round-trip travel per MUA needed.

Yes. For parties of 5 or more, Katie must bring an additional makeup artist to assist, as she can only accommodate up to 5 services on her own in a single day.

Katie is not only the lead artist behind the majority of the looks, but also the person creating social content, responding to emails, and managing bookings. This is not a bridal agency. This is truly a small business! Katie has personally trained a small, trusted team of just 3 artists over the years to assist with weddings when needed.

Because of this intentional, hands-on approach, we do not accept bridal parties larger than 12 services. This cap allows us to maintain the high standard of artistry, efficiency, and luxury that our brides deserve.

Katie can take a maximum of 5 wedding makeup services in a day—with the proper amount of time allotted. This includes 60-75 minutes per bridesmaid/attendant, and 2 hours for the bride, with 5 minutes of cleaning time in between each service.

For 5 services, you can expect the morning makeup schedule to run from approximately 8:00AM to 3:00PM, or earlier if needed based on your ceremony time and other vendor schedules.

Katie does not assign more than 4-5 services to herself or any of her trusted assistants in a day. This policy is in place to maintain the highest quality of artistry, a calm environment, and ideal working conditions.

Bridesmaids/Mothers/Attendants take anywhere from 60 to 75 minutes (depending on timeline and scheduling flexibility), and Bridal makeup at least 2 hours (if the Bride had a trial). For Brides that choose not to do a trial, makeup can take up to 3 hours. This timing ensures that each person receives a fully customized, luxurious experience without feeling rushed.

Additionally, there is a 5-minute buffer between each service for cleaning and resetting between clients to ensure the highest level of sanitation and cleanliness. The CBK Team also will take a 10-15 minute break after the first couple services to eat, hydrate, and use the restroom. These timings and breaks are incorporated into the morning makeup schedule.

We do not offer 30-minute makeup applications. Katie and her team take their time to perfect each look with precision, detail, and care — because quality glam cannot be rushed.

The morning makeup schedule depends on how many artists are working your wedding. If it's just Katie, the timeline will be longer. Most weddings with 6+ services will require 2 Artists, which is what the below example is based on.

If makeup is scheduled to begin at 8:00AM, we plan to arrive to the venue at 7:20AM to unpack and enter the venue by 7:30AM to set up. This ensures we are ready to start promptly at 8:00AM.

Yes, you are absolutely welcome to book a bridal trial before officially reserving your wedding date. However, please note that trials are only offered on weekdays and are subject to Katie’s availability. In addition to running her full-time makeup business, Katie also works a full-time corporate job Monday through Friday, so her weekday availability for trials is very limited.

It’s important to understand that no wedding date is secured without a signed contract and a 50% non-refundable deposit. Katie books weddings on a first-come, first-serve basis to be fair to everyone. This means that if another bride secures your date with a signed contract and deposit before your trial takes place, you will lose your date.

Most of Katie’s brides book her without doing a trial first. That’s because they’ve done their research, reviewed her portfolio, and trust her signature style. Katie’s work is extremely consistent, and if you love what you see on her Instagram, TikTok, and website, you can feel confident that you’ll receive the same quality and style on your big day.

Yes. A 20% gratuity is automatically added to the makeup service total for bridal parties of 5 or more and is included in your wedding quote. Katie and her team take great pride in their artistry, professionalism, and the luxury experience they provide. This gratuity reflects your appreciation for the time, talent, and care that goes into creating flawless glam for you and your bridal party.

For example: if the makeup service total is $2,500 for all services, an additional $500 gratuity will be added, making the grand service total $3,000.

If you need to cancel your wedding makeup services, you must do so at least 120 days PRIOR to your scheduled wedding date. Cancellations made before this window will not be responsible for the remaining balance. However, if you cancel within 120 days, you are still responsible for paying the full remaining balance of your contract.

Please note that all deposits are non-refundable and non-transferrable under any circumstances. This means that if you cancel, you will NOT receive your deposit back, and it cannot be applied to a future date.

If you need to postpone or reschedule your wedding, please understand that there is NO guarantee of Katie’s availability on your new date. Weddings are booked months—and often years—in advance, and Katie is not responsible for adjusting her availability to accommodate changes.

By booking, you acknowledge and accept this cancellation and rescheduling policy in full.

Once your contract is signed for a specific number of services, that number cannot be reduced. For example, if you contract for 10 makeup services and later 2 bridesmaids can no longer attend the wedding, you are still responsible for the full payment of all 10 services.

This policy is in place because, in many cases, Katie has already secured an additional makeup artist to assist on your wedding day based on your total number of services. That artist has likely blocked off the date months—or even years—in advance, turning down other work to be available for your event. Subtracting services after booking would result in that artist having reduced or no work, despite having committed the day to your wedding.

You are welcome to substitute someone else (such as a guest, relative, or friend) for the unused services, but they cannot be removed from the contract and no refunds will be issued under any circumstances.

Please be sure to confirm your final headcount before signing your contract, as all service totals are final and non-refundable once booked.

All makeup services and packages are non-refundable and non-transferrable. Once you sign up for a bridal package, you are committing to the full package as outlined in your contract, and no changes, substitutions, or refunds will be permitted under any circumstances.

For example, if you book a package that includes your bridal trial, rehearsal dinner, and wedding day makeup, but later decide you no longer need rehearsal dinner glam, you are still responsible for the full package price.

This policy is in place because Katie blocks off the entire day before your wedding to focus exclusively on you. She does not accept any other bookings on that day in order to give you her undivided time and attention.

Please be certain of the services you’d like before signing your contract, as all bookings are final.

Makeup services are only provided to individuals who were included in the final service count and confirmed in advance. Katie creates a detailed schedule in coordination with your planner and hairstylist, and adding last-minute services disrupts the timeline—which can negatively impact the flow of the entire morning.

In addition, Katie prepares individual brush sets, sanitized tools, and custom touch-up kits for each person scheduled. If someone was not accounted for ahead of time, Katie will not have the necessary materials or time to safely and professionally accommodate them.

Brides have up to 120 days before the wedding date to add any additional services. After this deadline, add-ons are not guaranteed, especially if a second artist was not already secured in advance.

It is the bride’s responsibility to communicate any changes to the service count within this window. When signing the makeup contract, the bride acknowledges and accepts this policy and responsibility.

To keep your wedding day running smoothly, everyone receiving makeup services must be ready and in the chair at their scheduled time. If someone is late, a $50 late fee will be charged for every 15 minutes they are not ready.

Katie and her team provide a detailed schedule well in advance so the bride can share it with the entire bridal party. It’s expected that everyone is aware of their time slot and comes fully prepared, following all prep instructions to avoid any delays.

If late fees occur, the bride is responsible for covering those fees on the day of the event. Katie will not leave the venue without receiving payment for any late charges incurred.

However, failure to comply with the required makeup timing will result in termination of your contract and wedding date. If a planner or coordinator disregards the time Katie and her team need, Katie reserves the right to cancel services due to a breach of the contract's timing policy. As a reminder, bridesmaid/attendant makeup takes a minimum 60-75 minutes, and bridal makeup 2-3 hours (depending on if the bride had a trial or not).

While I can absolutely adjust my technique to suit each individual's preferences - whether its soft or full glam - my overall makeup style is very specific, consistent, and niche. What you see on my social media and website portfolio reflects exactly what you can expect on the day of.

If someone in your party prefers a makeup style that's drastically different from mine (aka super natural or minimal), or is not comfortable with soft or full glam makeup, I kindly recommend they opt out of services. This ensures everyone is aligned and happy with the final look. My goal is for each person in my chair to feel confident and satisfied, and that starts with mutual alignment in style.

I strongly prefer to work with my trusted team of artists for your wedding day. Each artist on my team is specifically trained to replicate my signature style, ensuring that everyone looks cohesive and polished in photos. This consistency is especially important for group shots and overall aesthetic.

That said, I completely understand that large wedding parties may require more services than my team can provide. We are able to accommodate up to 12 makeup services in a day. If your needs exceed that number, you are welcome to hire an additional makeup artist outside of my team.

In these cases, I simply ask that you plan for a bridal suite, hotel, or Airbnb with adequate space to comfortably accommodate multiple artists and stylists, as well as your entire bridal party. Having enough room ensures a smooth and stress-free experience for everyone!

No, Katie has a strict no-guest policy for all in-studio and trial appointments. This policy is in place for several important reasons:

1. Unbiased Decision-Making: Your bridal trial is about you. Katie wants you to have the space and freedom to form your own opinion before hearing others’ input. Especially for quieter or more introverted brides, an outspoken guest can unintentionally influence your decisions and prevent you from truly processing your thoughts.

2. Dedicated Connection Time: This appointment is our time to connect. While you may have followed Katie on social media and seen her work, this is the moment we build trust and dig deep into your vision—without outside distractions.

3. Tight Scheduling: Katie’s availability is extremely limited. Trials are often scheduled back-to-back, and minimizing interruptions helps us stay on track and ensures each bride receives the full attention she deserves.

4. Respect for Paid Services: Katie also offers 1:1 makeup lessons. Allowing a guest to observe her techniques and explanations during a trial would be unfair to those who invest in paid education sessions, and it also devalues Katie’s time and expertise.

5. Private Studio Space: Katie’s studio is located inside her home, which means she controls who is allowed in her personal space. It is common for makeup artists to have in-home studios, and hers is designed to comfortably accommodate only Katie and the client. The environment is intentionally intimate, and there is no additional space for guests.

I specialize in makeup ONLY. However, I work closely with trusted hairstylists and can offer recommendations upon request.

While vendor meals are not required, we are always appreciative of extra coffee, pastries, or snacks! We always do our best to fuel up with breakfast and caffeine before arriving, but glam days can be long—so a little something extra is always welcomed and appreciated!

Finger foods and grab-and-go snacks work best for us since we're usually working with both hands throughout the day and do not have much time to eat a large meal.

Please note: During the morning makeup schedule, Katie and her team typically only have one 10-15 minute break to eat, hydrate, and use the restroom—so anything quick and easy to grab makes a big difference!
