HEY GORGEOUS!
I’m Katie Withers, Head Makeup Artist and Founder here at Contoured by Katie. For over 10 years, I’ve been expanding my knowledge and experience in special events makeup to help women feel confident and beautiful on their special day.
From my first-ever client back in 2012 (my sister, whose high school homecoming look turned all the heads), to working in-house at A Perfect Face Day Spa in Ocean City (my mom’s business), it became clear from an early age that my knack for creating stunning makeup looks was far more than hobby material.
So naturally, I did what I do and dove headfirst into acquiring the knowledge, skills, and experience to become the very best makeup artist and business owner I could be!
I received extensive 1:1 training with BareMinerals pro makeup artists to refine my skills, and earned my Bachelor’s in Business Administration and a Master’s in Marketing and Business Analytics to supplement my years of experience working in business and beauty.
Without a doubt, all roads led to me founding Contoured by Katie in 2021, and becoming the luxury makeup artist serving Maryland, Virginia, Delaware, and beyond.

Meet Megan
Megan has been practicing makeup for three years and has been working with Contoured by Katie since 2021. Megan began experimenting and working with makeup when she was in high school, doing homecoming and prom makeup for all her friends. Megan has received extensive 1:1 training with Katie, learning all the best practices in Bridal makeup application and technique as well as the highest standards of hygiene and sanitization practices.
Megan attended Towson University where she graduated with a bachelor of science in Nursing. She is currently a registered nurse in the state of Maryland and is pursuing a certification in aesthetic injecting, including botox and dermal fillers. When Megan isn't doing makeup, she is working at Johns Hopkins Hospital in a cancer intensive care unit (ICU). With Megan's intensive background and education, she knows all the best practices, procedures, and products to ensure her clients' skin and makeup application is flawless.

Meet Amanda
Amanda dreamt of becoming a Professional Makeup Artist ever since she did her first makeup look on herself for the 8th-grade dance. This quickly took off into her becoming the “Can you do my makeup?” friend.
After 5 years of doing hundreds of looks for prom, homecomings, and photoshoots for her friends and family, she took the next step in her career by attending the Make-up Designory (MUD) in Los Angeles, CA. This pristine makeup program focuses on the intricacies of professional make-up artistry for film, television, bridal, fashion, theater, and retail. Here, she was trained by top-of-the-line industry professionals on how to perfect any type of look under any conditions. She received her training and certification during the COVID-19 pandemic, so she knows all the proper sanitation and hygiene practices. She has thorough knowledge about skincare & makeup ingredients to best suit each Client's needs based on their skin type and concerns. From MUD's 24-week Master Makeup Artistry Program, Amanda is confident in addressing any makeup concerns.
In addition to her training at MUD, Amanda has received extensive one-on-one training with Katie on perfecting soft and full glam bridesmaid makeup, as well as mature makeup for mothers of the bride and groom. By mastering the Contoured by Katie way, Amanda can now execute flawless, long-lasting looks of the prestigious caliber that CBK clients desire.

Meet Hope
Hope has been practicing makeup since 2013 and has been working with Contoured by Katie since 2021. Hope started doing makeup professionally in 2013 when she danced competitively for the Chesapeake High School dance team. For four years, she did the makeup for her dance team members for all competitions. Since then, Hope has received extensive 1:1 training with Katie, learning all the best practices in Bridal makeup application and technique as well as the highest standards of hygiene and sanitization practices.
When Hope isn't doing makeup, she is working at the National Security Agency (NSA) as an Occupational Health Program Manager. With Hope's competitive dance background and education, she knows all the best practices and products to give her clients a full-glam look that will last through heat, sweat, and tears!

Assist Contoured by Katie with the traveling of equipment and materials including packing, setting up, and breaking down

Take before & after photos and videos of clients

Proficient in makeup application techniques for various skin types and tones

Experience in creating unique makeup looks for different occasions

Clean makeup brushes and products at the end of each day
